DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, August 31, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Mustafa Nejem, Master Mariner , Managing Director, Chartered Manager and author, has received two honours in the 2026 Middle East & North Africa Stevie® Awards, recognising his contribution to maritime sustainability, innovation and inclusive leadership.

Nejem was named a Gold Stevie® Winner in the Award for Outstanding Individual Contribution to Sustainability category for “Mustafa A. Nejem: Outstanding Individual Contribution to Maritime Sustainability and Innovation.” He also received a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Thought Leader of the Year category for “Global Thought Leader in Maritime Sustainability, Innovation, and Inclusive Leadership.”

The dual recognition reflects a professional journey shaped by command experience at sea, executive leadership ashore, advanced academic study and a commitment to strengthening the human and environmental foundations of the maritime sector.

The 2026 Stevie® honors follow Nejem’s selection as winner of the Maritime Youth Award at the Saudi Maritime Awards Night 2026 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Nejem’s work brings together maritime strategy, fleet operations, leadership development, sustainability, law and human-centered innovation. He is a Chartered Manager (CMgr) of the Chartered Management Institute; a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA); a Fellow of the Institute of Consulting (FIC), Chartered Management Institute; an Associate Fellow of The Nautical Institute (AFNI); and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

His academic qualifications include an LL.M. in International Commercial Law from the University of Salford; a Global MBA from Abertay University; an Executive MBA in Business Analytics from UCAM, Spain; an MSc in Fleet Management; an MSc in Maritime Business; and a Master Mariner Certificate of Competency. His research has addressed maritime finance, data-driven decision-making in global maritime business, sustainable shipping and crew welfare.

As an author, Nejem translates complex maritime and leadership issues into practical work for industry professionals and emerging leaders. His publications include The Green Wave: Embracing Renewable Energy in Maritime Shipping and The Inclusive Leader: Embracing Diversity for Organizational Excellence.

The Green Wave received recognition from Literary Titan and was nominated for The Maritime Foundation Award for Best Book at the 2025 Maritime Media Awards in the United Kingdom.

Beyond authorship and executive leadership, Nejem is the founder of SeaMentor.app, a digital platform designed to support seafarer wellbeing, safety and environmental awareness.
